The Old Mill boys soccer team will get a chance to not only defend its county championship, but also to avenge its only county loss of the season.

The Patriots (10-2-1) will meet the Glen Burnie Gophers (12-1-1) in Tuesday's championship game at Annapolis High.

A 4-0 win over North County last night sent Old Mill to its second straight championship, while the Gophers came away with a 4-0 victory over Annapolis as both teams finished with 9-1-1 county marks.

The Severna Park Falcons had an outside shot at a bid, but a scoreless tie against Chesapeake in 30-year coach Don Gregg's final regular-season game put them at 8-1-2 in county play.

All of the Gophers' goals came from senior forward Sean Ajifowobaje, who now has 19 goals and six assists this season. The Gophers last reached the county championship game in 2000 when they defeated Chesapeake, 2-1.

In the regular-season game between Glen Burnie and Old Mill, the Gophers scored two late goals to come away with a 2-1 win in Millersville.
