Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Central District

Theft: Eighteen computer cable locks, valued at $540, were stolen from a city Fire Department vehicle in a garage in the 400 block of N. Calvert St. between Oct. 4 and Tuesday.

Theft: Two drills and 25 compact discs -- all valued at $724 -- were stolen yesterday from a 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe parked in the 200 block of Holliday St.

Southern District

Shooting: A girl, 13, was talking with friends in the 3000 block of Huron St. about 5 p.m. Tuesday when a passenger in a car that stopped nearby shot her in the face with a BB pistol. She was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital's Wilmer Eye Clinic.

Rape: A homeless 41-year-old woman reported she was raped about 6 p.m. Tuesday by a man who lured her into woods in the 800 block of Chesapeake Ave. She was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Medical Center.

Theft: Two gold watches, diamond rings, diamond earrings and a gold bracelet -- all valued at $20,600 -- were reported stolen Tuesday from the bedroom of a house in the 1200 block of Battery Ave.

Southeastern District

Burglary: A DVD player, DVDs, video games and a camera were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 900 block of Bayliss St.

Eastern District

Burglary: Two ceiling fans, power tools, paint, paint supplies, a television, faucets, windows and a sterling silver tea set were stolen Tuesday from a house being renovated in the 1700 block of E. Oliver St.

Theft: Someone broke into a Chevrolet van in the 700 block of E. Preston St. and took 300 white T-shirts Tuesday.

Southwestern District

Burglary: A watch, shoes, jewelry and a camcorder -- all valued at $5,350 -- were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the 500 block of Hazlett Ave.

Stolen vehicle: After a woman left the keys in the ignition of a 1996 Mercury Villager and stepped out to talk to friends, a man stole the vehicle from the 1900 block of W. Pratt St. It had tags M878724.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville Precinct

Robbery: A woman, 31, was leaving EMG Group in the 11000 block of McCormick Road about 8 p.m. Tuesday when she was attacked by two men, thrown to the ground and robbed of her $11,000 engagement ring, earrings and a necklace.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: A laptop computer was stolen Tuesday from a house in the first block of E. Burke Ave.

North Point Precinct

Thefts: A woman who tried to leave Sears at Eastpoint Mall without paying for a DVD player was given a citation to appear in District Court to answer a theft charge. Also Tuesday, a man tried to leave without paying for tools and was given a citation.
