Southwest Airlines adds 5th nonstop Calif. flight

Southwest Airlines added a fifth nonstop flight between Baltimore-Washington International Airport and California last week.

With the arrival of a flight from San Diego on Oct. 5, the airline went to two daily flights to and from Los Angeles, two daily flights to and from San Diego, and a daily flight to and from San Jose.

Agency seeks volunteers to assist passengers

The Maryland Aviation Administration is searching for volunteers to help BWI travelers in the early morning, evening and weekend.

BWI Pathfinders spend at least four hours a week assisting passengers inside the airport's main terminal. The next orientation class is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 21. Information: 410- 859-7826.

Business networking fair is scheduled for Nov. 13

BWI will hold a business networking fair from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 13 in the airport's international terminal.

The fair is intended to bring together contractors working at the airport with owners of small businesses and minority business owners interested in opportunities at the airport.

The fair also will have workshops about the procurement process.
