Stephanie Connelly, a runner-up each of the past two years, was a runaway winner in her third appearance in the Baltimore Municipal Golf Corporation's Women's Amateur championship at Mount Pleasant Golf Course yesterday. She recorded a 2-over-par 74 and beat her closest challenger by five shots.

Janice Misey, with 42-37-79, earned the flight prize and was the only other player to break 80 in a field of 36. The other flight winners were Poly senior Nikeye Peay (46-42), who defeated Megan Harrell (47-41) on the second playoff hole after tying at 88, and Sharon Guida, 53-47-100.

Connelly, 16, a junior at Northeast High School, bogeyed the first two holes, and was 3-over par through seven holes. She birdied the eighth from 4 feet, reached the 430-yard ninth in two and two-putted for par. On the back, there was a bogey at the 10th, followed by eight straight pars.
