College presents Halloween theater

Harford Community College's Harford Dance Theatre will present Harriet's Happiest Halloween, at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23 and at 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Oct. 25 and 26 in the college's Chesapeake Theater.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for patrons ages 17 and younger. Tickets are available in person at the HCC cashier's office in the Chesapeake Center or by calling 410-836-4211.

Harkins renominates 2 to Harford Center board

Harford County Executive James M. Harkins has submitted the names of two people to be reappointed to the Harford Center Board of Directors. The County Council is expected to consider the nominations at its session Tuesday.

If reappointed, Rose A. Eimer of Bel Air will serve a one-year term. Also seeking reappointment is Patrick P. Spicer of Churchville. Upon council approval, he will serve a two-year term.

Harford Sox tryouts today and Oct. 19

The Harford Sox metro baseball team for 11-year-olds is holding tryouts at 4 p.m. today and Oct. 19 at John Carroll High School (the field is behind Rockfield Park).
