Notre Dame Prep soccer standout Zoey Bouchelle made an official commitment Tuesday night to play at Penn State University.

The first-team All-Metro midfielder, who has six goals and two assists this season for the No. 1 Blazers, said she chose Penn State over Vanderbilt, Harvard and Maryland.

"I'm very happy with my choice," said Bouchelle, who scored 20 goals to earn Parade All-America honors last fall. "You can ask anyone, I've been a different person lately being so stressed out about it, so I came into school beaming. It's good to finally be able to say I'm going to Penn State."

Penn State, which advanced to the national semifinals last season, is ranked 14th in the country this season with a 10-2-2 mark.

"Clearly, they have an awesome soccer program so that was a major factor in my decision," Bouchelle said.
