HOWARD CRIME REPORT

The crime report is a sampling of crimes in Howard County compiled from police. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-313-3700.

East Columbia

Stevens Forest Road: 5700 block, Oakland Mills. Someone entered a home and stole jewelry and household items between Aug. 29 and Aug. 31.

Stevens Forest Road: 5700 block, Oakland Mills. Someone entered the party room at the Grand Points Apartment complex and stole a 54-inch projection television between Aug. 30 and Sept. 2.

Red Branch Road: 9100 block, Oakland Mills. Two computers and two copiers were stolen from Sherkon Co. on Sept. 9.

Twin Knolls Road: 5400 block, Oakland Mills. Police responding to an alarm found that someone had entered the front office of Russell Corrosion Consultants and stole two laptops Sept. 9.

Cradlerock Way: 6700 block, Owen Brown. While walking home Sept. 13, a person was assaulted by three men who took the victim's wallet.

Thunder Hill Road: 5800 block, Oakland Mills. A man approached a woman, pulled down his pants and exposed himself Sept. 14. The man was identified by the victim and arrested.

Stevens Forest Road: 5600 block, Oakland Mills. Someone entered an apartment and took a .38-caliber pistol, 100 rounds of ammunition, an undisclosed amount of cash and a safe Sept. 15 or 16.

Minstrel Way: 7100 block, Owen Brown. A man in his car was motioned to pull over Sept. 20 by people in another car, one of whom held a gun. The men pulled him from his car and assaulted him, and took a cell phone and jewelry.

Racegate Run: 5300 block, Oakland Mills. Someone entered a home through a rear, unlocked, sliding-glass door and stole four cameras, a digital video disc player, a videocassette recorder and a camcorder Sept. 20.

Lark Brown Road: 8300 block, Long Reach. Someone broke into a garage Sept. 20 or 21 and stole a Remington .22-caliber rifle, pellet rifle, compound bow, generator, two chain saws and tools.

West Columbia

Brook Way: 5300 block, Wilde Lake. While walking to a store, three men stopped another man and asked for a cigarette Sept. 3. They followed him and demanded money. He was assaulted and his shorts, tennis shoes and money were taken.

Trumpeter Road: 5400 block, Wilde Lake. Police responded to an alarm at Wilde Lake High School's concession stand and observed a person fleeing the area on a bicycle. A juvenile, accused of stealing food, was found, arrested and charged as a juvenile Sept. 6.

Twin Rivers Road: 10400 block, Wilde Lake. Someone stole a laptop computer from the Brinkman Group and from Capital Market Place between Sept. 13 and 15.

Little Patuxent Parkway: 10300 block, Town Center. A man entered Suncoast Motion Picture Co. on Sept. 19, pointed a 9 mm handgun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk gave him money, and the man took a digital video disc. The robber fled on foot toward The Mall in Columbia.

Little Patuxent Parkway: 10300 block, Town Center. Two juveniles approached two people outside of the M&T Bank and waved a knife in front of their faces and demanded money. Police arrived and found the assault suspects, who were arrested.

Ellicott City/Elkridge

Kerger Road: 5300 block, Ellicott City. Someone entered an open garage and stole a bicycle and a scooter Sept. 3.

Washington Blvd.: 6200 block, Elkridge. Two people entered Stoll's Shell gas station and took an unknown amount of money from an employee Sept. 9.

Lark Brown Road: 8200 block, Elkridge. A man entered a Royal Farms store Sept. 9, implied he had a weapon and took an unknown amount of money and cigarettes. Police said the robber was black, in his mid-20s to early 30s, about 5-feet-11, medium build and wore a blue Nike baseball cap, dark-colored sweat shirt with a white T-shirt underneath and blue-jean shorts.

Washington Blvd.: 7200 block, Elkridge. A 21-year-old man was assaulted by two men while in the bathroom of a Wendy's restaurant Sept. 19. The victim received injuries to his head and was treated and released by ambulance personnel. The attackers took his cell phone, jewelry and an undisclosed amount of cash.

N. Laurel/Savage/Jessup

Guilford Road: 9900 block, Jessup. Someone forced open the front door of a garage and removed power tools and lawn equipment Sept. 1 or 2.

Assateague Drive: 7400 block, Jessup. A security officer for TA Truck Stop was transporting the night receipts when he was approached by two men Sept. 26. One displayed a gun and took the moneybag from him. The men fled toward Route 175.

Murray Hill Road: 7600 block, North Laurel. A man entered a High's store and pointed a handgun at the clerk Oct. 1. The robber took money from the register and cigarettes.

Sheffield Court: 8100 block, Jessup. A man said he was walking home from a friend's house when someone approached, pointed a dark, semiautomatic handgun at him and demanded his wallet Sunday. The victim complied, and the robber fled. Police described the robber as a black male, age 18 to 21, 5-feet-7, with medium-length braids and wearing a black jacket with fur around the collar.

Western Howard

Woodstock Road: 1900 block, Woodstock. A masked man holding a black handgun confronted residents in their home and demanded money Sept. 7. He was given an undetermined amount of cash.

Triadelphia Mill Road/Green Bridge Road: Dayton. A female was riding her bike Sept. 6 when a nude man approached her. She left and called police, who described the man as white, in his mid-30s, 6 feet tall, with a mullet hairstyle, mustache, wavy medium-brown hair and a thin build. He drove a blue 1995 Chevrolet Blazer.
