Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Shootings: Two men were in serious condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital after being shot about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday while walking in the 800 block of N. Lakewood Ave. One man, 21, was shot in the back, and the other, 20, in the hip and groin.

Stabbing: Police were seeking a man known as "Speedy" in the stabbing Tuesday night of another man in the 2000 block of Barclay St. The victim was stabbed in the neck and was in serious condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Robbery/arrests: A man and a boy were arrested about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday and charged with robbing a woman, 26, moments earlier of cigarettes in the 2900 block of E. Oliver St., using a replica of a .45-caliber handgun. Charged as an adult was Dwan Smith, 19, of the 3100 block of E. Federal St. A 15-year-old was charged as a juvenile.

Northern District

Robbery: An employee was about to enter the Rite Aid store in the 3100 block of Greenmount Ave. about 7:35 a.m. Tuesday when a gunman forced him inside and ordered him to open an office safe. The gunman fled with an undisclosed sum

Central District

Theft: Two laptop computers left unattended were stolen Monday from the lobby of the Bank of America building in the first block of Light St. They were valued at $4,600.

Western District

Purse-snatching: An 18-year-old woman was walking in the 2100 block of N. Pulaski St. about 11:15 a.m. Tuesday when a man stole her purse containing an undisclosed sum of money.

Southeastern District

Robbery: A female motorist, 43, was stopped in the 300 block of S. Bond St. about 9 p.m. Tuesday when a man entered the vehicle, stole her purse and ripped jewelry from her neck.

Baltimore County

Wilkens Precinct

Robbery: A man robbed a woman of her purse containing $300, jewelry and two watches as she and her husband were about to enter their car in the 700 block of N. Rolling Road about 11:30 p.m. Monday.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A gunman jumped the counter at Days Inn in the 8800 block of Loch Raven Blvd. about 1:20 a.m. Tuesday and took money from a cash register. The gunman then robbed the clerk of his backpack and jacket, and tied his hands with phone cord.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: Tools, a snow blower and a bicycle -- all valued at $800 -- were stolen from a shed in the 9900 block of Maidbrook Road during the weekend.
