Ella Snapp, 95, homemaker, former Catonsville resident

Ella R. Snapp, a homemaker who formerly lived in Catonsville, died Oct. 1 of kidney failure at Toumey Regional Medical Center in Sumter, S.C. She was 95.

Born Ella Ritter in Woodlawn, she attended Baltimore County public schools.

In 1926, she married George L. Snapp, who died in 1979. She moved to South Carolina 18 years ago.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Cemetery, 2805 N. Rogers Ave., Ellicott City.

Survivors include a son, Albert E. Snapp of Rehoboth Beach, Del; a daughter, Joanne L. Derreth of Manning, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Two sons, George R. Snapp and Stanley R. Snapp, died in 1998. A daughter, Jean L. Klecka, died in 1996.
