Frances V. Mahoney, 82, Catholic Church worker

Frances V. Mahoney, a homemaker and former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church worker, died of respiratory failure Saturday at a nursing home in Newton, N.J. She was 82.

Born Frances Biniewski in Wilmington, Del., she moved to Essex after her 1946 marriage to Harry H. Mahoney.

While living in Essex, she worked from 1964 to the early 1970s in the convent and parochial school library at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Middle River.

She and her husband, who died in 1988, lived for several years in Elkton. Since 1991, she had resided with a daughter in Sussex, N.J.

Plans for services were incomplete.

Mrs. Mahoney is survived by a son, Allan L. Mahoney of Sydney, Australia; two daughters, Linda J. Schaener of Long Beach, Wash., and Janice G. Fazenbaker of Sussex; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
