On Monday, September 8, 2003, FRITZ G. A. KRAEMER, of Washington D.C., died after a brief illness at age 95. Born in Germany in 1908, he entered the United States in 1939, became a U.S. citizen, entered the U.S. Army and fought in World War II as an infantryman and officer. Following military retirement, he served for nearly three decades as a senior civilian advisor at the Pentagon. His beloved wife Britta Bjorkander Kraemer preceded him in death in 1998. He is survived by his daughter Madeleine Bryant of Cockeysville, MD, his son SvenKraemer and daughter-in-law Carla Hubner of Washington D.C., and three grandsons, Glenn Bryant and Andreas and Mattias Kraemer. A memorial service with full military honors will be held on October 8, 2003, at the Post Chapel, Fort Myer, with burial to follow at Arlington National Cemetery.
