ELSIE GNEITING WITTIG, 82, died Tuesday, September 30, 2003, in the Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, MD. She was born in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. Formerly of Lansdowne, MD, she lived in Bloxom, VA since November 1998. She is the wife of the late John Carl Wittig; daughter of the late Matthew Gneiting and Louise Durr Gneiting. She is survived by her children Carol O'Master and husband John, of Beltsville, MD and Christine Young and her husband Paul, of Bloxom, VA; two granddaughters, Lisa Young Snyder and her husband Philip and Heather O'Master Gogal and her husband Tom; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by seven siblings and a granddaughter, Diana Phillips. She owned and operated a beauty shop in Lansdowne, retiring after 46 years. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and former member of Order of Eastern Star. A Graveside Funeral will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD on Thursday, October 2, 2003, at 2:00 P.M, with Mr. John O'Master, conducting.
