Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Western District

Arrest: Hakeem Johnson, 21, of the 400 block of Oxford Court was arrested yesterday in the 6100 block of Fortview Way in O'Donnell Heights by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force. He was charged in a warrant with attempted murder in the shooting Aug. 21 of Donte Chandler, 26, of the 3400 block of Ramona Ave.

Central District

Robbery: A woman, 19, was walking in the 800 block of Whitelock St. about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday when a man stole her purse.

Theft from vehicle: A laptop computer, telephone charger and several compact discs -- all valued at $1,125 -- were stolen Tuesday from a Jeep parked in the 1200 block of Eutaw Place.

Southern District

Robbery/arrest: Three men attacked a man in the 2600 block of Giles Road on Tuesday and robbed him of $312. An officer witnessed the incident and arrested one suspect, who was held at the scene by the victim. Charged with assault and robbery was Howard Jones 3rd, 28, of the 7800 block of Spencer Road, Glen Burnie.

Stolen vehicle: A 1997 Chevrolet Astro van with tags M381169 was stolen Tuesday in the 1700 block of S. Hanover St.

Eastern District

Theft: Someone entered a garage in the 1900 block of Orleans St. Tuesday, jacked up a 1995 Cadillac and removed its tires.

Theft from vehicle: A compact disc player and several compact discs -- all valued at $300 -- were stolen Tuesday from a 1991 Toyota parked in the 400 block of N. Chester St.

Southeastern District

Stolen vehicle: A 2003 Chevrolet with tags LFR 72 was stolen Tuesday in the 3400 block of Elliott St.

Stolen vehicle: Police were seeking a 1997 Ford Ranger pickup truck with tags 62J487 that was stolen Tuesday in the 3000 block of Pinewood Ave.

Northeastern District

Robbery try/shooting: A man, 23, walked into the emergency room at University of Maryland Medical Center about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and told physicians he was shot in the ankle about 15 minutes earlier during a robbery attempt in the 2700 block of Harford Road.

Baltimore County

Essex Precinct

Arrests: Officer Brian Pearce was patrolling near Bowleys Quarters and Clarks Point roads early Tuesday when he spotted two teen-age boys pushing a dirt bike. Suspicious, Pearce checked and learned the bike had been stolen from the 3600 block of Bay Drive. The boys were arrested and charged with theft.

Parkville Precinct

Arson: Police were seeking whoever set fire to the contents of two trash cans in a bathroom at Parkville High School in the 2600 block of Putty Hill Ave. about 3 p.m. Tuesday. Damage was confined to a wall.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A female employee of Zale's Jewelry at Towson Town Center in the 800 block of Dulaney Valley Road was displaying two rings on her left hand to a customer Wednesday when the man pulled them from her fingers and fled.

Burglary: Two diamond bracelets, two rings and $500 in coins -- all valued at $6,000 -- were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the 6600 block of Glenbarr Court by someone who entered through a door.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary/arrest: Police responded to a burglar alarm at Pantry 1 in the 12000 block of Reisterstown Road early Tuesday and found a man inside. Charged with burglary and held at the precinct on $50,000 bond was Timothy Alan Hartless, 41, of Westminster.
