The body of a woman found Friday in a wooded area in western Ellicott City was identified yesterday as that of Lauren Allen Jordan, 21, of the 2800 block of Quail Creek Court, who had been missing since Sept. 18, Howard County police said.
Preliminary autopsy results showed no sign of foul play or injuries, said Sherry Llewellyn, a police spokeswoman, but toxicology tests will take several weeks to evaluate. Alcohol and pills were found near the body, which was partially decomposed, Llewellyn said. Police believe Jordan died in the woods near her home shortly after her disappearance.
