The Carroll County Arts Council has announced fall classes starting in mid-October at the Carroll Arts Center in Westminster.

Visual arts classes for ages 16 and older include:
"Painting with Pastels" from 10:15 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. Tuesdays for six weeks. The cost is $63 for members and $68 for nonmembers.
"Painting in Oils" from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Thursdays for four weeks. The cost is $45 for members and $50 for nonmembers.
"Drawing Fundamentals" from 6:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Tuesdays for six weeks. The cost is $53 for members and $58 for nonmembers.
"Painting Techniques" from 6:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Tuesdays for six weeks. The cost is $53 for members and $58 for nonmembers.
"Basic Collage Jewelry" from 6:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Thursdays for three weeks. The cost is $31 for members and $36 for nonmembers.
Stamping workshops from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays (three sessions available). The cost is $8 per session for members and $10 for others.
White line printmaking workshop from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 13. The cost is $70 for members and $75 for nonmembers (includes lunch).
Youth classes also will be offered this fall. Cost ranges from $38 to $53 depending on class length and number of sessions.

"Drawing Basics": Tuesdays, six one-hour sessions at 4:15 p.m. (ages 6 to 8) and 5:30 p.m. (ages 9 to 12).
"Painting Basics": Tuesdays, five one-hour sessions at 4:15 p.m. (ages 6 to 8) and 5:30 p.m. (ages 9 to 12).
"Painting Basics": Saturdays, four sessions from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. (ages 9 to 12).
"Mommy & Me Art": Fridays, six one-hour sessions at 10:30 a.m. (ages 3 to 5).
"Basic 3-D Design": Thursdays, six one-hour sessions at 4:15 p.m. (ages 9 to 12).
"Action Art": Thursdays, six sessions from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (ages 6 to 8) and 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m. (ages 9 to 12).
"Comic Creations": Thursdays, six one-hour sessions at 5:30 p.m. (ages 8 to 11) and 6:45 p.m. (ages 12 and older).
"Little Hands -- Big Art!": Saturdays, four sessions from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (ages 5 to 7).
"Pot Luck Arts & Crafts": Saturdays, four one-hour sessions at 10:15 a.m. (ages 6 to 8).
Performing arts classes will be held on stage at the arts center this fall as follows:
"It's Magic": Thursdays, three sessions from 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. (ages 9 to 12).
"Even More Magic": Thursdays, three sessions from 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. (ages 9 to 12).
"Stage Tots": Wednesdays, six one-hour sessions at 10:30 a.m. (ages 4 to 6).
"Acting Basics": Tuesdays, six one-hour sessions at 4:15 p.m. (ages 6 to 9) and 5:30 p.m. (ages 10 to 14).
"In the Spotlight": Thursdays, six sessions from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (ages 8 to 11) and 5:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. (ages 12 to 16).
"Introduction to Musical Theatre": Tuesdays, six one-hour sessions at 6:45 p.m. (ages 11 to 16).
"Traditional West African `Hip-Hop' Dance": Saturdays, six one-hour sessions at 11 a.m. (ages 8 to 14) and 12:30 p.m. (ages 15 and older).
