The No. 5 South Carroll field hockey team got goals from Allie Armitage and Angelica Ervin yesterday for a 2-0 victory over host Westminster.
South Carroll (3-1, 1-0) controlled play for long stretches, but Westminster goalie Amanda Diehl kept making saves.
The Owls (0-4, 0-1) had one shot on goal. South Carroll controlled play in the midfield and did a strong job of pushing the ball into Westminster's end of the field.
