Westminster to flush fire hydrants this week

Westminster Department of Public Works will flush fire hydrants throughout the city from 7 p.m. to midnight tomorrow through Friday.

The flushing will cause water discoloration and residents should not do laundry the next day.

Residents should draw water the night before and, first thing next morning, let water run until it is clear.

Even if discolored, water is fully treated and potable.
