A Towson man was killed Saturday night when he fell or was pushed from a moving car on East Joppa Road near Towson Marketplace and was run over by another vehicle.

Police said Brian Keith Pruitt, 40, a resident of the Towson East Motel in the 1500 block of E. Joppa Road, was a passenger in an unknown vehicle that was headed west in the 1000 block of E. Joppa Road about 10:30 p.m. when he fell into the street.

Pruitt was then struck by a westbound 1997 Mitsubishi Galant, whose driver remained at the accident scene.

The vehicle from which Pruitt fell was being sought, said Officer Lori Hippensteel.

Pruitt died at the scene.
