On June 30, 2003, JOHN P. "Ollie" OLIVEIRA, age 61, passed away. Mr. Oliveira began his career as a Shift Superintendent in 1967, creating the Metro Subway System in Washington, DC. From 1978 to 1984, he was the Senior Field Engineer with the Construction of Marta, inspecting the cast line and the Peachtree Center Station on the North line. From 1982 to 1989, he was an engineer and inspector for the Marta Doraville Station. In 1988 and 1989, he created special effects and set construction on such movies as "No Holds Barred" "Invictus", and was a set dresser and starred as Santa Clause in "Driving Miss Daisy". His last work was as a leadman for Nth degree setting exhibits. He is survived by his wife, Mary Gemmill of Atlanta, GA, sons John F. Oliveira of Westminister, MD, Joseph P. Oliveira of King, NC, and one grandchild, sisters Jeannette Nohe of FL, Lisa Pierce of FL. He was predeceased by his parents, John Frias Oliveira and Katherine Mae Mullikan. A memorial service will be held at Horis Ward's Rockdale Chaepl on Thursday at 6 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National MS Society. Horis A.
