32 charged with drug offenses at concert

Howard County police arrested 32 people on drug-related charges Wednesday night at a Dead concert at Merriweather Post Pavilion.

Twenty-four people were arrested and charged with illegal possession of controlled dangerous substances, and eight were arrested and charged with distribution of controlled dangerous substances, police said. Officers also seized $1,200 in money and drugs, including LSD, PCP and marijuana, police said.

The Dead is made up mainly of members of the now defunct Grateful Dead rock group.
