She was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, Perryville, MD and served on Good Shepherd Parish Liturgy Committee. She was also an organist, and Eucharistic Minister and member of Maryland State Teachers Association. Wife of 34 years of Robert W. Pontown, Conowingo, MD; daughter of the late Maurice Flanagan and Aileen Monahan Flanagan; mother of Shawn Robert Pontown, Joppa, MD, Regina A. Gulick, Elkton, MD, Joanne M. Pontown, Conowingo, MD; grandmother of Star Ilise, Elkton, MD and Paris Ann, Conowingo, MD; sister of Michael Flanagan, Cape Charles, VA, Harriette Creter, Stanhope, NJ, Louise Fenton, Mappsville, VA and the late Aileen Shopper. Visitation Friday, June 20, 2003, 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. and 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. at the Lee A. Patterson and Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD.
