Sandi Ritchie Miller's vivid and abstract works will be on display at the Galleries at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis, beginning Wednesday.

Her enamel oil creations evoke images of galactic spaces and underwater worlds in the show titled Sea and Space Paintings on Plexiglas.

The exhibit, which will be featured in both the Willow and the Garden Cafe galleries, runs through July 27.

Zooming in

The curves and crevices of the human body take the form of landscape in Betsey Heuisler's paintings, on display at the Tai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts in Laurel.

The works, which are done on wood or panels, are detailed images of the artist's hands that have been enlarged until the subject matter is not overtly evident.

Healing Hands will run through July 7.
