Man, 24, fatally shot while loading his car

Police were seeking two men in the fatal shooting early yesterday of a man as he loaded his car with goods while moving out of his former residence in Northeast Baltimore.

Derrick Carmon, 24, was in an alley behind the 3000 block of Echodale Ave. about 12:30 a.m. putting possessions into his car when he became involved in an argument with two men and was shot in the head by one of them, said Detective Michael Johnson.

Residents who heard the shot called police. Carmon, who was moving to the 5900 block of Darien Court, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with information about the slaying was asked to call Johnson at 410-396-2100.
