Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southwestern District

Theft: A man stole jewelry valued at $2,500 from a house in the 400 block of S. Beechfield Ave. after the occupant allowed him to use the phone supposedly to call a tow truck Wednesday. Police said the thief might have tricked the occupant because no vehicle needing a tow was seen in the neighborhood.

Burglary: A fax machine was stolen Wednesday from Bonomolo Equipment and Supplies in the 100 block of S. Calverton Road.

Southern District

Burglary: A power washer, tools and a combination radio/compact disc player -- all valued at $1,100 -- were stolen Wednesday from a garage in the 900 block of Williams St.

School burglary: Candy, toys, a toaster oven, a calculator and school supplies -- all valued at more than $1,100 -- were stolen from a supply room at Carter G. Woodson Middle School in the 2500 block of Seabury Road between April 16 and Tuesday.

Stolen vehicle: Someone stole a blue four-door 1989 Cadillac with tags KYP 759 when the owner left the engine running when he entered a store in the 2200 block of Annapolis Road on Wednesday.

Northern District

Burglary: An 18-speed mountain bicycle valued at $350 was stolen Wednesday from the rear porch of a house in the 5400 block of Springlake Way.

Northeastern District

Robbery: A gunman robbed Frankford Food Market in the 4900 block of Frankford Ave. of more than $500 about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Baltimore County

Wilkens Precinct

Burglary/arrest: A male, 17, was arrested Tuesday and charged with entering the back yard of a house in the 2400 block of Quilting Bee Way and stealing a Yamaha dirt bicycle. The bicycle was recovered and the youth was released to his parents.

North Point Precinct

Arrest: Police arrested a man Wednesday when he tried to leave Wal-Mart in the 2300 block of North Point Blvd. without paying for a radar detector valued at $100.

Arrest: A woman, 39, was arrested Wednesday and charged with shoplifting four electric tooth brushes -- all valued at $104 -- from Wal-Mart in the 2300 block of North Point Blvd.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 8000 block of Woodgate Court and removed bread, ham and mustard from a refrigerator Wednesday.
