On Saturday, April 19, 2003, ELSIE LILLIAN ERNST, 91, of Tampa, passed away at her home with her family at her side. She was born August 22, 1911 in Baltimore, Maryland, moving to Tampa in 1995. She resided at the Jewish Center Towers prior to moving to the home of her family here in Tampa. She was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Glyndon, MD. A retired telephone operator, she was a member of the O.W.L.S. of Christ The King Catholic Church as well as a frequent attendee at the N.A.P.F.E. Towers senior lunch program. Survivors include, daughter, Loretta E. Becker (Marvin); granddaughter, Karen Gouldman (Steve) of Tampa; sister, Bessie J. Linzey of Reisterstown, MD. And a host of nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Frances Vanik; brothers, Tom, Frank, Rudy, George, Lou, and Albert; Sisters, Mary, Frances, Bessie, Rose and Helen. Elsie was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend of everyone whose life she touched. She was funny, joyous, faithful, giving, loyal and happy during her 91 years. The family will miss her "Light" and forever remember her glowing spirit. Interment services will be in Maryland. Memorial donations may be made to LifePath Hospice, 3010 W.
