The crime report is a sampling of crimes in Howard County compiled from police. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-313-3700.

East Columbia

Murray Hill Road: 7600 block, Kings Contrivance. A man robbed a High's store April 10. The man struck an employee with a handgun and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Tides Ebb Court: 8800 block, Long Reach. Someone broke a window of a home April 14 and stole $10,000 worth of jewelry.

Cloudleap Court: 8700 block, Long Reach. Three men robbed a woman of her purse April 15.

West Columbia

Turnabout Lane: 5900 block, Harper's Choice: Five young men robbed a man of his money and cell phone April 10. One of the men also struck the victim with a monkey wrench.

West Running Brook Road: 5100 block, Wilde Lake. Someone broke into a home and stole $50,000 worth of jewelry, a camera, compact discs and chocolate April 10.

Mystic Court: 5500 block, Harper's Choice. Someone stole an undisclosed amount of cash from a home April 11.

Ellicott City/Elkridge

Washington Blvd.: 6400 block, Elkridge. A man whose vehicle was being held at Lenny's Towing climbed a fence April 8, removed his property from inside the car and took his license plates.

Centennial Lane: 4300 block, Ellicott City. Someone broke into a chemistry classroom at Centennial High School on April 12. It was unclear if anything was taken.

N. Laurel/Savage/Jessup

Barrel House Road: 6900 block, North Laurel. Someone stole an undisclosed amount of cash from a home April 12.
