William & Mary drops Towson, 18-10

Senior Allison Evans and sophomore Morgan Watkins combined for 16 points for William and Mary, leading the Tribe to an 18-10 win over Towson in the Colonial Athletic Association regular-season finale for both teams yesterday at Towson Stadium.

The Tribe (3-13, 2-5) finished in sixth place in the conference, one spot ahead of the Tigers, who fell to 7-7, 1-6.

College of Notre Dame 18, Chestnut Hill 4: Junior Lori Baran scored five goals in the first 17 minutes, helping the Gators (6-7, 3-0) coast to victory over the visiting Griffons (3-5, 3-1) in an Atlantic Women's Colleges Conference game.


St. Mary's 15, York 2: The third-seeded Seahawks (7-6) topped the No. 6 seed Spartans (3-7) in the first round of the Capital Athletic Conference tournament behind four goals from Kevin Whalen.

Goucher 17, Marymount 1: The host Gophers won to set up a CAC semifinal matchup against Salisbury.
