Margaret Mae Wingate, 68, secretary

Margaret Mae Wingate, a retired secretary and former longtime South Baltimore resident, died of cardiac arrest Wednesday at Carroll County General Hospital. She was 68.

A Westminster resident since 1992, she had lived at Locust House, a senior citizen facility in Westminster, since 1999.

Born and raised in Southwest Baltimore, she graduated from Western High School in 1953.

She was a secretary for Baltimore financial institutions. then began working at Don-Lee Electrical Co. in South Baltimore in 1990. She retired in 1990.

She worked part time for several years for the Carroll County Bureau of Aging.

Services were private

Miss Wingate is survived by a brother, Kenneth W. Wingate of Reisterstown; and three nieces.
