Favorito at Improv

You may have seen Vinnie Favorito on The Late Late Show With Craig Kilborn, in the David Spade film Joe Dirt or on the UPN series Clueless. Now you can catch Favorito in person, doing his standup show at the Baltimore Improv tonight through Saturday.

Show times are 8 tonight, 8 and 10 tomorrow night and 7 p.m., 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Saturday. The Improv is in the Power Plant Live Plaza, 6 Market Place, and tickets are $12-$15. Call 410-727-8500.

Rock on the runway

Ever been listening to music at a club, but you can't figure out what to look at? The Fashion and Rock Show 2003, Saturday at The Vault in Baltimore, offers a solution. While listening to the sounds of area bands (including Velvetene, The Luinissinfes, Ring's End and Life Goes On), you can also check out a runway show featuring the fashions of local and underground designers. In addition, DJ Keith Simmons spins between sets.

The event is sponsored by nolabels.org. In August, the group held its first showcase, which featured designs from Oh! Said Rose, William Branson, H. Kommalan, Kate Ballou, T&T Vintage, KALO Wearable Art and NightDreams Erotica.

Tickets for the show are $7 and are available through Ticketmaster. Call 410-481-SEAT or visit www.ticketmaster.com.

Putting IRS on rocks

The only thing certain besides death and taxes may well be the presence of happy hour deals. So check out Have a Nice Day Cafe's Tax Relief Party tomorrow 7 p.m.-9 p.m. to celebrate your refund or drown your sorrows after writing a hefty check.

For $5 at the door, partake in a premium open bar, which means everything, with the exception of Happy Bowls, is included.

Just don't forget to pay your taxes first.
