Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northern District

Stolen tag/arrest: A motorist was arrested during the weekend and charged with possession and display of a stolen temporary Virginia license tag -- one of nearly 500 stolen recently from a Virginia Department of Motor Vehicle office in Portsmouth. Police believe the stolen tags are being sold and placed on stolen or unregistered vehicles.

Robbery: Two men, one armed with an unknown weapon, robbed a woman, 47, of $400 in the 3500 block of Greenmount Ave. about 8:15 a.m. Monday.

Central District

Shooting: Christopher Eugene Marshall, 30, of the 500 block of Robert St. was standing in the 500 block of Laurens St. about 8:15 p.m. Monday when an unknown gunman shot him in the abdomen. He was in serious condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Southern District

Robbery: A 16-year-old boy was riding a 2003 Yamaha mo-ped in the 2700 block of Hawkins Point Road and stopped at a traffic signal Sunday afternoon when two men stepped from a sport utility vehicle, knocked him to the ground, placed the mo-ped inside the SUV and rode off.

Burglary/arrests: Two men were arrested Monday and charged with stealing lumber from Alantic Forest Products in the 200 block of W. Dickman St. that day. Arrested were Charles Kersey, 26, of the first block of W. Barney St., and Kevin Kirby, 18, of the 1800 block of S. Charles St.

Burglary: Five stereo radios with a total value of $3,125 were stolen between Saturday night and early Monday from Rent-Rite in the 2100 block of W. Patapsco Ave.

Eastern District

Robbery: Police were seeking a gunman who robbed a man, 65, of more than $500 and a leather jacket in the 900 block of N. Kresson St. about 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Southeastern District

Robbery: Two men in their early 20s were walking in the first block of N. East Ave. about 1:40 p.m. Monday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed them of their money and cellular phones.

Northeastern District

Robbery: A woman, 40, was getting out of her car in the 3700 block of Kimble Road about 2:30 p.m. Monday when a man stole her purse containing cash and property -- all valued at more than $40.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Theft/arrest: A woman, 45, was arrested Monday when she tried to leave Sears at White Marsh Mall without paying for items valued at $880.
