School officials recognized for budget work

John L. Cox, budget director for Harford County public schools, and Jeannine M. Ravenscraft, budget analyst, have been awarded certificates of recognition from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for their work in the preparation of the school budget.

The awards represent significant achievements on the part of the two school officials in how well they described the school systems' priorities and goals, how well they displayed financial data and how well they summarized the information in the budget document.

The Government Finance Officers Association is a nonprofit professional association. It serves 14,000 government finance professionals. More than 900 budget document were submitted for judging.
