Three are killed in car accidents over weekend

TOWSON - Three people were killed in two motor vehicle accidents over the weekend, Baltimore County police said yesterday.

Goffery Tyrone Brewer, a 32-year-old Edgewood resident, and a 36-year-woman who was a passenger in his 2002 Chevrolet Camaro, were killed after Brewer lost control of the speeding car on Liberty Road near Patterson Avenue and hit a traffic light pole, according to police reports.

The woman was not identified yesterday by police, who were trying to notify her relatives. The crash occurred at 4:15 a.m. Saturday.

A 45-year-old Essex man was killed after he lost control of his 1986 GMC Sierra on North Point Road after exiting Route 151, police said.

William Jay Schoff Jr. of the 700 block of Fulbrook Road died when his truck hit an embankment and overturned Saturday afternoon, according to police reports. A passenger in the vehicle was not seriously injured, police said.
