The Mom's Club of Clarksville-North will distribute yellow ribbons at the Giant in River Hill Village Center tomorrow and Sunday to show support for the safe return of the troops fighting in Iraq.

Members will hand out ribbons from noon to 5 p.m. tomorrow and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The group wanted to start earlier in the day tomorrow but had a hard time finding enough yellow ribbon, said Cindy Coburn, a member of the club, which is a not-for-profit support group for mothers who stay home to raise their children.

After contacting more than 50 companies, group members found an Internet supplier who will deliver the ribbon at 9 a.m. tomorrow.

Coburn said she believes it is important for parents of the troops to know the community supports their children.

"I'm a mom, and I fall apart when I send my kid on a school bus, and they're sending their kids to war," she said. "I cannot imagine sending a son or daughter over there. ... Whether you're for the war or against the war, we all support the safe return of our troops."
