Howard County police arrested three men and a teen-ager yesterday in connection with a string of break-ins at automotive businesses.

After alarms went off at four businesses on Washington Boulevard and Berger Road between 11:45 p.m. Friday and 12:50 a.m. yesterday, police saturated the area looking for a white car seen on video at the site of one of the break-ins. About 12:30 a.m. yesterday, an officer saw the car outside an automotive shop in the 5800 block of Washington Blvd.

One suspect was arrested fleeing the scene, a second was arrested 45 minutes later after a search using a state police helicopter, and two others were arrested at 3:45 a.m. boarding a taxi on Montgomery Road, police said.

Charged with breaking and entering were DeCarlos Johnny Jacobs, 29, Kevin Christopher Duffy, 27, Anthony Garcia Johnson, 22; and a 17-year-old whose name was not released. Addresses for the suspects were not available.
