Marion E. Lincoln, 94, Social Security employee

Marion E. Lincoln, a retired Social Security Administration employee and former Ellicott City resident, died of respiratory failure Tuesday at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey, Fla. She was 94.

Marion Bambrey was born and raised in Everson, Pa. After graduating from high school and working there for several years, she moved to Baltimore in the early 1940s and went to work for Social Security. She retired in 1975 as a claims examiner.

Mrs. Lincoln had been an active volunteer and communicant of Resurrection Roman Catholic Church in Ellicott City.

A resident of New Port Richey since 1978, Mrs. Lincoln continued volunteering. At her death, family members said, she had accumulated 6,000 volunteer hours at the hospital there.

In an obituary for Marion E. Lincoln in Friday's editions, the date of her second marriage was incorrect. She married Nelson Lincoln in 1946.

Her marriage to Eugene Floto ended in divorce. In 1978, she married Nelson Lincoln, who died in 1981.

She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church in New Port Richey, where a Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. today.

Mrs. Lincoln is survived by her son, George E. Floto, and two daughters, Mary Jane Tall and Ruth Ann Worsham, all of New Port Richey; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
