Asylum Productions. Community theater in residence at CCBC Catonsville will hold auditions for William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew at 7 p.m. April 6 and April 8 in the Q Theatre Building Lounge, 800 South Rolling Road. Auditioners should prepare a two-minute classical comic monologue and be prepared to read from the script. The role of Petruchio has been cast. Baltimore Playwright's Festival. Auditions for the 2003 festival will be held in three locations on three dates. Auditioners need to attend only one audition: 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at Audrey Herman Spotlighters Theatre, 817 St. Paul St.; 7 p.m.-10 p.m. Monday, April 7, at Vagabond Theater, 806 South Broadway; 7 p.m.-10 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, at Fell's Point Corner Theater, 251 South Ann St. Callbacks (if necessary) will be Thursday, April 10, (time TBA) at Chesapeake Arts Center, 194 Hammonds Lane in Brooklyn Park. Prepare a two-minute monologue and bring 10 copies of a theater resume. Head shots are welcome, but a photographer will take head shots for the audition to ensure currency and standardization.
