The Washington Redskins hope to sign former Pro Bowl fullback Larry Centers, NFL sources told The Washington Post on Friday.

Centers, 34, whose 808 career catches are the most by a running back in NFL history, was cut Thursday by the Buffalo Bills, for whom he played the past two seasons after being released by then-Redskins coach Marty Schottenheimer.

He had 43 catches last season.
