Deadline to update yield data is April 1

Farmers have until April 1 to update crop acreages and yields for the Direct and Counter-Cyclical Program (DCP). These farm records are used to calculate federally funded commodity programs administered by the Farm Service Agency.

In order to give farm owners the chance to update their records, the Carroll County FSA office will schedule an appointment with the landowner after the deadline to help complete the process if the farmer contacts the office before April 1.

Farmers electing to use their current crop records for DCP will be able to enroll in the program after April 1. The final date to enroll in DCP is June 1.

Carroll County FSA encourages all farmers who have not examined their program options to call 410-848-2780, Ext. 2.
