Team (W-L) Schedule The skinny

Johns Hopkins (3-0) at Syracuse, Saturday, 1 p.m., The Blue Jays are 3-5 at the Carrier Dome, where they won in 2001; sophomores Lou Braun and Kyle Harrison have combined to win 76.4 percent of the faceoffs.

Loyola (3-1) at Notre Dame, Saturday, 1 p.m. The Fighting Irish had a better trip to Tobacco Road last weekend than the Greyhounds. After visiting South Bend, Loyola will play five of its next six at Curley Field.

Maryland (3-0) at Stony Brook, Saturday, 1 p.m. The Terps' offense should bust loose on Long Island. Stony Brook is one of four new opponents for Maryland, which also added Butler, Georgetown and Notre Dame.

Mount St. Mary's (0-4) at Providence, Saturday, 1 p.m. After a daunting nonconference start, the Mount is ready for Metro Atlantic play. It's still at least a week away from playing at home in Emmitsburg.

Navy (3-1) Rutgers at Rip Miller Field, Saturday, noon The Mids must rebound from a heartbreaking loss at Massachusetts because they've got another ECAC test against an early-season surprise.

Towson (1-2) at Virginia, Sunday, 3:30 p.m. The Tigers' defense played well against Maryland. It faces another stiff challenge in Charlottesville, where Towson's last victory came in the 1991 NCAA tournament.

UMBC (2-0) Georgetown, Saturday, 1 p.m. Josh Gerber, a fifth-year attackman from Perry Hall whose career was disrupted by knee operations, has collected seven goals. He totaled eight in his first three seasons.
