The Howard County branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People will hold its annual Freedom Fund Banquet at 7 p.m. tomorrow in the Carriage Room at Laurel Park racetrack, Laurel. This year's theme is "Freedom Under Fire."
Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele will speak.
The fund-raiser is being held in all NAACP branches. Proceeds will help fund educational programs, scholarships, the Youth Council and Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) programs, a newsletter and voter registration programs.
