BOYS

Levi Stukes

Randallstown, basketball

The 6-foot-2 senior All-Metro guard scored 26 points, grabbed eight rebounds, made seven assists and had three steals in Randallstown's 77-55 Baltimore County championship victory over Woodlawn on Feb. 25.

Stukes, a four-year varsity letterman who was Baltimore County's Player of the Year last season, has averaged 27.5 points after posting a 27.9 scoring average as a junior. He has also averaged seven assists, seven rebounds and two steals.

With Stukes leading the way, No. 1 Randallstown (20-1) has won 45 of its past 47 games and will play Fallston tonight in the Class 3A North region semifinals.

In Stukes' four-year career, Randallstown is 83-7. The Rams won a state crown his sophomore year when he scored 14 points and had 10 rebounds in the title game against Thomas Johnson.

Milford Mill, indoor track and field

The reigning All-Metro indoor track Performer of the Year delivered 38 of the Millers' 45 points in leading them to their second consecutive Class 3A-2A championship last week.

The senior added three gold medals and a silver medal to her cache of state titles. She won the 300 meters in 39.7 seconds and the 500 in 1:17.1. She then joined seniors Camara Ashe, Megan Pinckney and Dominique Washington to win the 1,600 relay in 4:07.84. The same foursome placed second in the 800 relay by crossing the finish line in 1:47.83.

Brown, who won three gold medals in last season's state finals, swept the 300 and 500 and ran legs on the winning 800 and 1,600 relay teams in the Baltimore County and 3A-2A Central region championships.

Nominate athletes

The Sun accepts nominations for its Athletes of the Week on Sundays, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at 410-332-6200 or 1-800-829-8000, extension 6200.

Two athletes (one boy and one girl) will be selected each week and featured in Wednesday's editions. To be nominated, athletes must play for their high school team. Only coaches can nominate Athletes of the Week.
