Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northwestern District

Arrest: Members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force arrested Craig James, 16, of the 1800 block of N. Dukeland St. yesterday on a warrant charging him as an adult in the attempted murder of Manika Tesie, 27, as she walked in the 3500 block of Reisterstown Road about 3 a.m. Monday. Tesie was shot in the left leg by a bullet meant for the driver of a car fleeing a drug-related fight.

Southwestern District

Arrest: Christopher Williams, 20, of the 2700 block of Sethlow Road was arrested yesterday in the 6200 block of Reedbird Ave. on a warrant charging him in the shooting and attempted murder of Dontray Simms, 17, in the 2800 block of Winwood Court on Feb. 5.

Shooting: Police were seeking a young male who shot a girl, 12, in the face with a paint-ball gun outside the girl's house in the 2100 block of Eagle St. about 9:20 p.m. Monday. The girl was treated at the Wilmer Eye Clinic at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Stolen vehicle: A white four- door 1999 Chevrolet with tags JBV 550 was stolen Sunday in the 4400 block of Old Frederick Road. A .38-caliber handgun was in the trunk, police said.

Northeastern District

Arrest: Donell Thornton, 19, of the 3900 block of W. Cold Spring Lane, who was charged in a warrant in the shooting and attempted murder of Alonzo Hughes, 21, of the 900 block of Punjab Circle on Jan. 14 in the 1600 block of Abbotson St., surrendered to police yesterday.

Southern District

Robbery try/assault: A man, 24, was walking in the 800 block of W. Lombard St. about 7:20 p.m. Monday when he was assaulted by a man who tried to rob him after asking for the time. The victim was treated for minor injuries at University of Maryland Medical Center.

Central District

Stolen vehicle: A silver-colored 2003 Mitsubishi with tags KLT 019 was stolen Monday in the 1400 block of St. Paul St.

Baltimore County

Towson Precinct

Arrest: While an employee of Ridgely & Ferrens Market Place in the first block of W. Allegheny Ave. was working, a man who entered the store to use the bathroom removed nearly $600 from an office and fled. Arrested and charged with theft and burglary was Marvin T. Hall, 48, of the 1700 block of Sexton St. in South Baltimore.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Jewelry and watches - all valued at $12,600 - were stolen Monday from a house in the first block of Garrison Forest Road in Stevenson.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: A safe containing jewelry of unknown value was stolen during the weekend from a house in the 7400 block of Lesada Drive.
