Goucher women rally past McDaniel, 9-7

After falling behind by four goals in the game's opening three minutes, Goucher rallied to post its first win of the season, 9-7 over McDaniel yesterday at Loyola's Curley Field.

Gophers attacker Kate Howell led all scorers with four goals, including one that tied the score at 6 early in the second half. Ashley Snyder put Goucher (1-1) ahead to stay with a goal at 16:45.

Tracy Kessler and Sara Thomas each scored twice to pace McDaniel (0-1).

McDaniel 6 1 - 7
