Community college offering preparation for teachers test

Harford Community College is offering courses to prepare teacher education candidates and provisional teachers for the PRAXIS I Skills test.

Concepts and skills measured by the test will be reviewed, and test-taking strategies will be presented. One text is required for both the Writing/Reading and Math preparation courses.

PRAXIS I Writing/Reading Prep is offered from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays, March 12 through April 16, at Edgewood Hall on the HCC campus. PRAXIS I Math Prep is offered from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays, March 15 through April 12, also at Edgewood Hall.

Students may register by mail or fax using the form included in the Schedule of Noncredit Classes or in person at the Noncredit Registration Office, Edgewood Hall, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday; and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday,
