Spotlighters Theatre. Open auditions will be held at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the theater, 817 St. Paul St., for a production of The Laramie Project. Needed are six men and six women in their 20s through 40s. Actors should prepare a short monologue (not from the script). Performances will be at Spotlighters from May 30-June 28. Call 410-752-1225.

Cockpit-in-Court. The theater in residence at Community College of Baltimore County will hold auditions for its 2003 season from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday in the H&A Building on the Essex campus. Productions will include Smokey Joe's Cafe (June 13-29), The Mousetrap (June 20-29) and The Will Rogers Follies (July 25-Aug. 10). For musical auditions, candidates should bring sheet music. Theatre on the Hill. Professional summer theater in residence at McDaniel College in Westminster will hold auditions for five summer productions from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 8. Actors 18 and older should prepare a short, contemporary comic monologue, an up-tempo show tune (with sheet music in the correct key for an accompanist, who will be provided), and be prepared to tap dance. Productions will include They're Playing Our Song (June 19-July 5), The Nerd (July10-Aug. 6), Dames at Sea (July 24-Aug. 9), Beauty and the Beast (June 28-July 13) and The House at Pooh Corner (July 19-Aug. 9). Morgan State University. Open casting call for extras in the motion picture Ladder 49 on Sunday, March 2. Men and women ages 18-70 are asked to dress casually for this audition at the Murphy Fine Arts Center. If you attended the last casting call on Jan. 25-26 you need not attend, otherwise, last names from A-H at 10 a.m., last names I-Q at 11 a.m. and last names R-Z at noon. Filming for this movie starring Joaquin Phoenix and John Travolta is scheduled for mid-March through June. Call 410-234-1045.
