Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southwestern District

Arrest: Ely Barber-el, 26, of the 900 block of Hill Road was arrested yesterday in the 2700 block of Yorkway in Baltimore County by the city police Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder in the Nov. 20 shooting of Richard Nicholson, 18, in the 1400 block of Bloomingdale Road. Barber-el was being held without bail at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Robbery: A woman, 23, was standing in the 2300 block of Frederick Ave. about 7:20 p.m. Monday when two women, one with a handgun, stepped from a car and robbed her of jewelry and cash - all valued at more than $120.

Theft: Tools and construction equipment valued at nearly $102,000 were stolen from a construction site at Westside Skill Center in the 500 block of Swann Ave. last summer. The theft was discovered last week by officials of a bankrupt construction firm taking inventory.

Robbery: A 14-year-old girl was walking in the 3100 block of W. North Ave. about 4:30 p.m. Monday when another girl, armed with a knife, robbed her of a cellular phone.

Western District

Arrest: Antonio Lee, 28, was arrested Monday at his home in the 1800 block of N. Bentalou St. on a warrant charging him with attempted murder in the Jan. 17 shooting of a man in the 1700 block of Thomas Ave.

Southern District

Robbery: A woman, 46, was walking at the Mount Clare Junction shopping center in the 1200 block of W. Pratt St. about 3:30 p.m. Monday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed her of $30 and a coat.

Southeastern District

Burglary: At least two people entered a house in the 3500 block of Dillon St. through a side door over the weekend and removed an uninstalled bath tub valued at $300.

Burglary: More than $1,000 in cash and cigarettes were stolen from Penny Saver in the 1800 block of Gough St. between Feb. 8 and Feb. 24.

Baltimore County

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Two filing cabinets, a safe, $150 and $3,450 worth of gift certificates were stolen from Prologue Homeless Outreach in the 600 block of Baltimore Ave. between Friday and Monday.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: A golf cart valued at more than $2,000 was stolen Monday from Red Hawk LLC in the 1000 block of Batavia Farm Road. The cart was later found abandoned next to nearby Chessie System railroad tracks.
