Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Assault/arrest: A 38-year-old resident of the 500 block of Warner St. heard someone breaking into his car about 9:35 p.m. Saturday, and confronted a man near the vehicle. Police said the suspect was struck with a pair of pliers after trying to stab the owner with a screwdriver. Police said the suspect, 45, was arrested at the scene and taken to University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

Stolen vehicle: A 2000 Dodge Stratus with tags HWZ 575 was stolen Saturday in the 900 block of W. Ostend St.

Assault/arrest: A man, 23, was arrested Saturday and charged with aggravated assault after allegedly cutting and choking his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend during an argument that day at her home in the 800 block of Bethune Road. Arrested was Kenneth McDuffie, 23, whose address was not available.

Burglary: A 12-gauge Winchester shotgun and its case were stolen from a 2000 Chevrolet Astro van parked in the first block of W. Fort Ave. between Feb. 16 and Saturday.

Stolen vehicle: A blue 1994 Chevrolet with tags HGV 840 was stolen Saturday in the 2400 block of Ridgely St.

Theft/arrest: A man was arrested Friday when he allegedly tried to leave Wal-Mart in the 2700 block of Port Covington Drive without paying for six DVD movies valued at nearly $77. Charged with theft was Joshua Lear, 22, of the 1400 block of Henry St.

Southwestern District

Theft: After a woman gave another woman a ride to the 4300 block of Adelle Terrace about 1:30 a.m. yesterday, the passenger stole the driver's purse, which contained $350, credit cards and personal items.

Stolen vehicle: A Burgundy 1992 Dodge with tags KTS 638 was stolen Saturday in the first block of S. Monastery Ave.

Baltimore County

Towson Precinct

Robbery: Police were seeking two gunmen who robbed McDonald's in the 900 block of York Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 11:15 p.m. Friday. After entering the restaurant, one of the men ordered the manager into a rear office while his accomplice forced employees into a rear work area. The manager was forced to remove money from a safe and place it in a bag. The robbers fled on foot. No one was hurt.

North Point Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered Salem Baptist Church in the first block of Inverness Ave. through a basement door during the weekend and stole a fax machine, a copier and two computers, all valued at $1,000.

Shoplifting: Police were seeking two men who stole $26 worth of liquor from Sharkey's Liquors in 1500 block of Merritt Blvd. on Saturday.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Several pieces of jewelry, coins, clothing and shoes -- all valued at nearly $4,500 -- were stolen during the weekend from a house in the 300 block of Lincoln Ave. by someone who entered through a rear door.

Burglary: Power tools valued at nearly $250 were stolen Saturday from a garage in the 700 block of Chapel Ridge Road.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Beauty supplies valued at nearly $2,000 were stolen Saturday from Tete-A-Tete Beauty Salon at Weinberg Gardens at Bedford in the 1500 block of Bedford Ave.
