Vacation Express adding flights, starting Friday

Starting Friday, Vacation Express will expand its flight schedule at Baltimore-Washington International Airport by adding nonstop service to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, on Mondays and Fridays. On Saturdays, it will operate a flight to Atlanta with a connection to Aruba, Costa Rica and St. Maarten.

The company has two flights a week (Thursday and Sunday) to Cancun. The new service will increase the number of flights to five a week. All Vacation Express flights leave BWI in the morning and arrive at their destination by early afternoon. Atlanta-based Vacation Express, a member of the My Travel group, has been in business for more than 12 years and concentrates on vacation packages to Mexico, the Caribbean, Costa Rica and Orlando, Fla.

Robey, Owens to speak at breakfast Feb. 19

James N. Robey and Janet S. Owens, county executives of Howard and Anne Arundel counties, respectively, will be the featured speakers at the BWI Business Partnership's Spirit of Success breakfast meeting at 7:45 a.m. Feb. 19 at the Holiday Inn BWI.

Robey and Owens will discuss their counties, as well as regional economic development efforts. The nonprofit association, which is made up of area employers, works to attract corporate investment and relocation to the BWI corridor.

Reservations are required. Admission is free for members, $25 for nonmembers.
