Cache of drugs found during I-95 speeding stop

February 04, 2003

A 37-year-old New Jersey man allegedly clocked at 80 mph on Interstate 95 in the city was ordered held on $2 million bail yesterday on drug-possession charges after a search of the car he was driving turned up a cache of drugs, including nearly 2 pounds of suspected heroin, the Maryland Transportation Authority Police reported.

Phillip G. Bloedoorn of Westfield, N.J., was stopped about 10 p.m. Friday by Officer Robert Rabe. In a check, Rabe learned that Bloedoorn had a suspended license, searched the car, and found 340 grams of suspected marijuana, 2,235 small wax bundles containing 843 grams of suspected heroin, and 14.3 grams of suspected crack cocaine, the documents said.
