Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Drug arrests: Officers from the headquarters drug enforcement section conducted a narcotics initiative Tuesday between the 500 and 2200 blocks of E. North Ave., arresting 29 people on drug, weapons and other charges. Two were wanted on outstanding warrants for unspecified crimes and nine for violating parole or probation. Cocaine, heroin and marijuana with a street value of $10,400 were seized, or purchased by undercover officers. Police also confiscated three handguns, a rifle and two sawed-off shotguns.

Western District

Shooting: Djaun Holmes, 35, of Forest Park, told police he was walking along Presstman Street about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday when he was shot twice in the left leg by an unknown gunman. He went to Maryland General Hospital two hours later.

Southern District

Theft: While employees of Blockbuster Video in the 3400 block of Annapolis Road were restocking the shelves about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, an alarm sounded, indicating someone left without paying for items. The person was seen driving away in a 1997 Toyota, and a check showed that 10 DVDs valued at $250 were stolen.

Southeastern District

Burglary: Someone entered the F S Key Bar in the 1700 block of Thames St. through a door early Monday and stole more than $500.

Eastern District

Theft from vehicle: Power tools and an air compressor -- all valued at $1,425 -- were stolen Tuesday from a 2003 Dodge truck parked in the 500 block of N. Chester St.

Northeastern District

Stolen vehicle: A blue, four-door 1992 Honda Acura with tags JDT 461 was stolen Tuesday in the 3300 block of Rosekemp Ave.

Baltimore County

Woodlawn Precinct

Robberies: Three woman who thought they were being given a lift Tuesday to a tavern on Windsor Mill Road instead were driven by two men to Woodlawn Drive and Security Boulevard, robbed of their purses and ordered out of the car.

Burglary/arrests: Two boys, ages 9 and 11, were arrested Tuesday and charged with entering a home in the 2400 block of Barnsley Place and stealing several compact discs. A police dog helped track the boys to their respective homes.

North Point Precinct

Stolen vehicle: A black 2003 GMC model C5500 truck valued at $35,000, with no tags, was stolen between Dec. 9 and Tuesday from the lot at Penn Pontiac/GMC in the 100 block of North Point Blvd.

Theft/arrest: A man, 27, with no fixed address was arrested Tuesday when he tried to leave Sears on Eastern Boulevard without paying for a nail gun valued at $269.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: Video games, two game controllers and 20 DVD movies were stolen Tuesday from a house in the first block of Bell Park Court.

Towson Precinct

Stolen vehicle: A yellow 2002 Dodge Neon with tags A057349 that was damaged in an accident and abandoned Jan. 21 at Loch Raven Boulevard and Edgewood Road was reported stolen between that date and Monday.
